Officially The Kingdom of Thailand, is located in Southeast Asia. Nestled in the center of the Indochinese Peninsula, it’s composed of 76 provinces, spans an area of 513,120 square kilometers (198,120 sq mi), and has a population of over 69 million people.
It is home to diverse ecosystems, including hilly forested areas, fertile rice fields, broad plateaus, rugged coastlines and beautiful beaches. Thailand was predominantly an agricultural country, but since the 1960s, increasing numbers of people have moved here. More recently many digital nomads have made their way to Thailand due to its low cost of living, natural beauty, rich cultural heritage and readily available internet in large cities.
