Australia, one of the largest countries on Earth, comes up as the smallest continent. Located between the Indian and Pacific oceans, it has been named "The Oldest Continent" or "The Last of Lands" due to the fact that it was the last continent—besides Antarctica—to be explored by Europeans. It's unique ecosystem consists of hundreds of flora and fauna species, especially due to Australia's physical isolation from other continents.
Currently, Australia's population consists of over 270 ethnic groups, this being the representation of a wide variety of cultures from many lands due to immigration. Apart from culture, religion has followed the immigration background. Australia's inhabitants are mostly Christian, Roman Catholic, Anglican, Buddhists, or Muslims.
